Like so many who discovered the stage during their Junior or High School years, that is my story too. While that was many years ago, I have never forgotten how important that foundational time was.

Now, with a lifetime of experience teaching students who had recently graduated from High School through their college years, my focus is to serve them with high-quality educational opportunities. Stage Production 101 is for you and anyone who is beginning their journey into the world stage productions!

Actor-Proof

Ghost Light

Ghost lights are an essential piece of equipment for every theater.

A ghost light can provide light in an otherwise all-dark theater to prevent someone from injury.

Does your ghost light keep the ghosts away?

RX 33 No Color Pink

What’s in a name? Apparently, no pink! Clearly, the name (and number) are a reference, an easy way to remember this color.

There are (at least) an infinite number of situations where you could use this color. My favorite is to take the edge off white light when lighting faces.

Shakespeare and other playwrights used this theatrical convention.

The actor walks down-center, looks at the audience, and says, “He does not know that I know what he is up to.” Now the audience knows what he is thinking.
