Ghost Light

Ghost Light

Ghost lights are an essential piece of equipment for every theater.

A ghost light can provide light in an otherwise all-dark theater to prevent someone from injury.

Discussion Questions:

Does your ghost light keep the ghosts away?

What are the names of your ghosts?

RX 33 No Color Pink

RX 33 No Color Pink

What’s in a name? Apparently, no pink! Clearly, the name (and number) are a reference, an easy way to remember this color.

There are (at least) an infinite number of situations where you could use this color. My favorite is to take the edge off white light when lighting faces.

Discussion Questions:

How do you use this color?

When might you want to use RX33 instead of RX34?

Gaff Tape

Gaff Tape

Gaffer’s tape (also known as gaff tape) is heavy-duty cloth-backed tape, usually black.

You can find rolls of it on hand in theaters and just about every other place where entertainment occurs. (It’s pretty expensive.)

Discussion Questions:
How does your theater use gaff tape?

What do you do with your gaff tape when you take it all up at strike?
